Narrative: TrishaKat

Trisha stood in front of the mirror and all she saw was her reflection staring back at her. She prayed hoping her brother’s wedding would go to the way things were planed and not have an unexpected visit from the paladins. She gathered her long locks and put it up in a bun sorted out her dress and left the room.

“Mummy whens the rehearsals getting done?” said Trish worried. “This is the third time you have asked me that question, what’s the matter? What’s the rush? Don’t tell me you have got somewhere to go again” said Mrs. Kat annoyed. Trisha just stared at the floor, embarrassed to look at her mothers face. “What are you doing huh? Always running off, you haven’t even given me a reason for these odd disappearances you keep making” Mrs.Kat said. “Look I’m sorry mummy but I can’t tell you yet, I promise I will but this is not the right time, I need to be somewhere in two hours, I’ll help with what ever right now but by then I need to go, so please if the rehearsals can be done soon that would be great, I really want to be at the rehearsals” Trisha said politely controlling her temper. “What ever Trish as usual I always cover for you and why…. I still don’t know” Mrs. Kat said disappointingly.

Annoyed Trish walks away and out to her garden. She takes her phone out and calls Griffin. As usual Griffin doesn’t pick up his phone at once. She waits, already agitated and finally he picks up. “Yes Trish darling, as usual you people call at the wrong time” said Griffin sarcastically. “Where are you Griffin?” said Trish impatient. “Who me… Oh you know always got something to do” said Griffin. “Come on Griffin, this is no time for games, I have bad news” said Trish. “What now Trish, we can’t be delayed, I need to see u in Hawaii in one and a half hours..I just got the cage teleported to my place”. Said Griffin not too surprised about Trish having family problems. “My mum is starting to wonder where I keep running of to all the time and this time there should be no excuse for my brother’s wedding rehearsals” said Trish upset. “Look we need you Trish, just make sure you don’t miss the wedding, tell your mum that, if something comes up at the wedding, we will be fine just make sure you come after the wedding, but that’s too early to be talking now we are not sure what’s going to happen tomorrow so just get your ass here we almost got Rolland…this is it Trish” said Griffin encouraging Trish. “But what if they find my family by tomorrow and the wedding is going to be destroyed” said Trish. “That’s why” said Griffin and then suddenly was interrupted by Mrs. Kat’s loud cry.

“Trish! Trish! We need you to help us out here..where are you?” shouted Mrs. Kat. “Am coming am coming!” Trish cried back. “You were saying Griffin” said Trish coming back to her normal voice. “Yeah as I was saying..that’s why you need to get out of there fast or the paladins will track you down and I’m telling you that wouldn’t be a pretty wedding in the end haha” said Griffin again sarcastic. “Yeah yeah ok fine, I’ll be there then” said Trish ending the conversation. “I got to go now, take care Griffin” said Trish. “You to Trish don’t worry your family is gonna be fine” said Griffin trying to be nice. “Thanks Griffin bye” said Trish realizing that Griffin was being nice.

Trish left the garden and found her mum in the kitchen. “Where have u been? We can’t do the rehearsals now we are still decorating the arch” said Mrs. Kat. “I’m really sorry mummy but I have to go in an hour” said Trish. “I told your brother he’s not too happy that’s the only way I could get the rehearsals to be done early but they want the arch done” said Mrs. Kat upset and angry. “Look mummy at least I’m not missing the wedding tomorrow right” said Trish confidently. Mrs.Kat then stares at Trish in amazement. “How dare you say that to me Trish! So what now the rehearsals don’t mean anything to you I don’t even know who you are anymore if only papa was here to see the way you turned out, no concern for your family at all! He would be so disappointed in you!” said Mrs. Kat coldly. Trish stared at her mother with tears running down her face. She walked away without saying a word to her mum and goes to her room full of anger. Got her things and looked in the mirror one last time and jumped off.

Fanfiction - Roland, Paladin

At this point the Jumpers are finding it difficult to hold onto Roland, he has too many connections at every state, every town. The Paladins are spread out all over America and the common places where the Jumpers jump to, their jump spots. At first he was at the Grand Canyon, where David Rice took him and thought that he had taken care of him there. Well, it was obvious that his fellow Paladins had rescued him by tracking him down using his chip stored inside of him. The Jumpers are now figuring out what to do with the Paladins and how to track them down. Their only hope is David’s mother, but she’s is also a Paladin herself so she has stay loyal to them or something nasty (which she does not know what it is) will happen to her. It is now Griffin’s turn to capture Roland and he did. He has Roland tied up in his basement in a cage with electricity running through the walls of the cage.

David and Millie are still in Samoa trying to have a good time. It’s pretty hard for David to concentrate on his holiday when he doesn’t trust Griffin doing part of his work. Millie doesn’t know that David is still on his phone trying to keep in track with what Griffin is up to.

Trisha Kat is back in Rome to where she is based at, Trisha Kat doesn’t really know what’s going on and soon finds out about the teleport device. Being the quiet Jumper she is, she decides to listen up on what is happening. The only thing holding her back from going outside into the world and putting her life on the line, is her family.

David Rice: Guys, can you add Griffin to the conversation?
Trisha Kat: I did already.

Griffin: cool, thanks guys
Trisha Kat: cool!

Little to do the Jumpers know that Roland has another plan to escape. His fellow Paladins has tracked him down again and has rescued him for the second time. The Paladins are still planning on how to get rid of the Jumpers, they have come up with all they could and still this mission is not accomplished. Roland’s boss is getting more frustrated with the fact that they are taking too long to destroy them. The Jumpers also decides on something.

Griffin: SHIT! Roland got away. He must have had some help from outside. That’s is why I was out of contact.

So the Jumpers decide to join forces and help each other out, thinking that this is a good idea to outsmart Roland and his Paladin clan. Griffin comes up with different ideas to capture the Paladins and to destroy every trick they have in store.

Griffin: We have joined forces and I am sure we will be twice as strong. He won’t get far anyway, I have BUBI traps all over the desert and I destroyed his teleport device.

The Jumpers are shocked to hear that the Paladins have a teleport device. How else would they have tracked them down? Mind Reading? Mary Rice gives the Jumpers a hint that the teleport device that Griffin has is not the only one that they had…there’s more.

Trisha Kat: They have a teleport device as well?
Griffin: Yeah, the one they used to get to David and Millie while they were in the desert.
Mary Rice: Not just one.
Griffin: How many then?
Mary Rice: That’s as far as the information as I can get.
David Rice: SHIT! Now we have to be careful where we jump to.

Mary keeps protecting the Jumpers by giving them hints and all about what the Paladins are up to and what other back up equipments they have in order to destroy them all. Griffin just got a message from his BUBI traps device from out in the desert and so he has to fix them.

David Rice: We need to lay low for a bit guys.

Though David wants to Jump to Griffin’s base, he has to take the long way and fly to the unnamed desert. David is soon warned by his mother with just the two common words that all mothers say “Be careful”. Griffin’s BUBI traps are fixed again and are under control. According to Griffin his traps cannot be dodged, not even by the smartest person he knows.

Roland is still making plans with his fellow Paladins by creating new and advanced teleport devices. Mary knows about this but cannot spread this information to her son and the other Jumpers. She is having a hard time trying to keep everything to herself. With the little information she gave, Mary has her hands tied. She does not know whether she wants to leave the Paladin clan or whether to leave her son and watch him suffer.

Griffin's (Fanfiction)

Trisha Kat, David and I decided to pay Mary Rice a visit in her office. Something Jumpers wouldn’t normally do. David was not afraid; after all we didn’t have to use the front door. Knowing that Roland was in isolation, chained & bound in Griffin’s basement seemed to put everyone’s mind at ease (for now anyway). David was also sure that the last place Roland’s men would suspect us to be was Mary Rice’s office.
“Killed any Jumpers yet Mother?” David asked
“Ah David, I’m well and yourself?” Mary Rice replied but no response was made by David.
“I see you have found yourself a new friend, David?”
“Dont even think about it Mother”
“Griffin?” Mary asked re-directing her attention to Griffin although referring her question to Trisha Kat who is indeed a new member of the Jumper clan.
"Mrs. Rice” Griffin replied in a tone that discouraged Mary to proceed.
David could no longer bare the thought of having his mother go against him that he asked “So have you thought about our proposition?”
"And what proposition would that be?”
“You know what Im talking about mother. That you stop supporting their movement & join forces with Griffin, Trisha Kat & I. We will be unstoppable. With your knowledge and experiences with the Paladins we can defeat them.”
“And if I decide not to, then what David?”
“Then Im sorry Mrs. Rice but were gonna have to kill ya as well!” Griffin exclaimed with his thick Irish accent.
“C-mon now Griffin this is my mother you’re talking about.” David said in a voice that was barely noticeable.
David & Griffin never saw eye to eye about killing David’s mother. Griffin saw her as a threat and as far as David is concerned she is the only reason why he is still alive. David feels he owes her his life.
“Im tellin ya David she is bad news” “Griffin we’ll talk about this later” David whispered as though is mother was not standing there.
“At least if you’re with us, they wont be able to get information out of you. Do they know your David’s mother yet?” Tried Trisha Kat.
“Soon they will Trish, and once they do, they will kill you mother.” David said with a concerned look on his face.
“Don’t you’s get it? Im breaking all the Paladin rules here. I am risking my life too just talking to you guys. Don’t forget here that you are Jumpers and I am a Paladin who is out to kill you. Don’t make this any harder for me than it already is.” Mary sighed as she sat back down in her chair, putting her right palm on her forehead.
“Then leave them mom, come with us.”
“You know Roland is still furious that you left him in the Grand Canyon. He’s even more anxious to get you”
“He should be greatful that I didn’t just throw him off it.” Said David
“Oh I wouldn’t worry about him right now Mrs. Rice.”
“Why is that Mr Gallagher?” Mary replied. “I have him chained and bound in my basement.”
“Are you sure about that Griffin?” Mary asked.
They could hear no response from Griffin who was sitting in the back of the room. Instead Griffin decided to jump back and make sure Roland was still chained and bound in his basement.
“Yep he sure is” a sudden reply was heard from Griffin upon return.
Mary was shocked to hear such news as she was unaware of the situation all she could say is, “I think you should all leave now. Leave while you still can”.
Shortly after that, Mary received orders on her speaker phone to head out with her finest group of Paladins to look for Roland and to destroy those Jumpers once and for all.
Trisha Kat, David and I all agreed that it was our queue to leave. We jumped back to my basement and all thought we should interrogate Roland before they found him.
“Why do you want us dead?” Griffin asked with such force and anger in his voice.
Roland broke out with “Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-a-a why else do you think we want you dead? You are not a god! You have no right to be in two places at once”.
Trisha Kat slapped him across the face so hard his head could have fallen off. “You make me sick. You think by killing us all that makes you a saint?”
“No but that’s one less of you I have to worry about”
I hooked him in the face and attempted to do it again when David stopped me. “We’ve done enough running from you, this time were going to do what we should have done long ago.”
“Make him sleep Griffin.”
I pulled out a large needle filled with tranquilizer.
“Oh not again.” “Believe it mate, its bedtime for you again.”
Shortly afterwards Roland fell into a deep sleep.
We put all our heads together and came up with a plan of attack. I went out and setup more traps in the desert and censored the perimeter of my base.

David Rice (Fan Fiction)

David thought he had gotten away from all the distractions in his life but obviously he was wrong. He had sworn to himself that now that he and Millie were finally together, he wasn't going to let anything else come in the way. But that was proving too hard.

"David, we're in Samoa to relax. All you've been doing since you sat in that chair is text message."

He hadn't realised that Millie was awake, he thought all along she was lying there enjoying the sun oblivious to his vigirous texting.

She pulled the glasses away from her face and studied the expression on his face, "Everything okay?"

"Yeah everythings fine, go back to your tanning. I'm just going to make a phone call, be right back." He didn't wait for her response and stood up.
He needed a secluded place to make this phonecall, where else could more secluded than the toilet. And that's where he headed.

Griffin answered his phone on the fourth ring, David's patience was wearing thin he had even resolved to counting how many rings it would take till Griffin answered.
"Do you mind mate? I'm in the middle of something right now."
"Griffin I don't have time for this, now tell me what exactly happened?"
"I'm good thanks mate everything is just great, thanks for asking by the way -"
"Griffin?" David hated that sarcastic tone Griffin always used, but that was Griffin full of sarcasm and smart comments.
"Hang on I'll put us on conference call, Trisha's on the other line. Now dont hang up on me David dear."
"Hurry up I have to get back to Millie. Now are you going to tell me or not?" David was getting slightly exasparated by Griffin's little game.
"I had another run in with the Paladins." Griffin finally spat it out.
"What? When did this happen? What happened?" Trisha asked all the questions that where going around in David's head.
"Well you know me being the romantic bloke that I am I decided to take my girlfriend to France, just as we got ontop of the Eiffel Tower guess who showed up? None other than the white haired bloke himself, Roland. David I though you had dealt with him?"
"I thought I had too -"
"Well obviously not good enough mate."
"Ok already, then what happened Griffin?" Trisha broke up the mini argument, David wasn't the only who was impatient when it came to Griffin.
"Did you get him? Or did he get you?"
"I wouldn't be here if he got me David. He ruined a good moment for me so I had to get him, it would only be fair I mean he ruins my romantic moment I capture him -"
"Do you have him?" David was half stunned by this new revelation.
"Chained up in my basement. Now now no applause are necessary really guys."
"What? You have him in your basement?" Trisha was suprised too, "Griffin do you know what this means?"
"That I'm good? As a matter of fact I think you and I David should join forces including you lovely Trishakat. We've got the Paladins vulnerable now without their leader, now would be our chance."
"Are you going to let him go Griffin?"
"No Griffin do not let him go." David's tone rose.
"I was just asking man."
"We have both been waiting for this moment Griffin, keep him in your basement. "
"That way he can stay away from my family, I don't want them involved in this." The protective side of Trishakat was starting to come out. When it came to her family she wasn't going to take any risks with the Paladins getting in contact with those she loved most.
"May I suggest that we meet at my base I don't really do phone conversations that well, so if you two would be kind as to pay me a wee visit then maybe we can analyse Roland and get to know what exactly goes through the minds of these Paladins, and perhaps why a bloke would ever think of having white as a hair colour."
This made both David and Trishakat laugh.
"Right my base it is. Don't get lost now I'm in the middle of the desert. turn right at the first sand dune you see, take a couple of steps then turn left to your next sand dune and you won't miss my great villa."
"You have a villa?"
"No he doesn't Trisha, he's making all of it up. Your base it is then. Now I have to get back to Millie, I'll see you guys then." The toilet seat was proving to be too uncomfortable for David now.
"Give a yell to that young lass of yours for me - "
"In other words Griffin means say hi to Millie from both of us." Being the one for subtlty Trisha stepped in.
"Will do."
They really should try make toilet seats more comfortable these days, David thought to himself.

Fanfiction - Trisha Kat, Jumper

Feeling alone and isolated, Trisha Kat walked down one of thousands of cobble lanes scattered all over Rome. “My first priority at the moment is to protect my family from the Paladins, I’m damn certain that they’ll use my family as baits to lure me into their trap.”

Growing up with her three older brothers, Trisha Kat has always been the sheltered and protected baby in the family but now their roles have been reversed due to the fact that she is a ‘Jumper’.

Trisha Kat, a self-claimed late bloomer, had her first jump when she was nine. “I’ll nail it at the cheer leading try out today.” Trisha Kat said confidently to her friends who had gathered at the gym to support her.

Upon finishing all the bouncing and dancing, Trisha Kat is now trying to stand up on the top of the three tier human pyramid. One of the girls at the bottom lost her balance and Trisha Kat was destined to fall from the top of the pyramid. “Help!” she screamed and spontaneously Trisha Kat felt a gush of wind on her face and next thing she found herself on the bed in her bedroom!!!

“How on earth did this happen?” stunned and amazed that she not just escaped the nasty fall from the top of the human pyramid in the gym at school but she actually jumped back to her room.

From then on, Trisha Kat thought she was the only person on earth who possessed this supernatural ability to jump from one location to another by teleporting. Not until one day last year she accidentally jumped into another jumper, Griffin’s, jump spot.

“Where the hell am I? And who are you?” Trisha Kat found herself in the middle of the desert, nowhere close to the destination she was jumping to, London.

“How many more ignorant jumpers are there do I have to run into?” Griffin snared at Trisha Kat. “Hi, I’m Trisha Kat and you are?” “Griffin the Jumper, I hope you’re not disappointed that you’re not the one and only jumper here.” Shocked and delight at the same time, Trisha Kat finally realised that she was not jumping alone anymore.

“Get away from my jump spot; you’re leaving us vulnerable to the Paladins.” Griffin yelled at Trisha Kat. “Who are the Paladins? Why are you so scared of them?” she asked innocently. “Are you for real girl? You don’t know the Paladins? But I’m pretty sure that they know about you.” Griffin handed a folder to Trisha Kat; “Check this out, this is the file the Paladins have on you. They’re our Jumpers’ enemies, they hunt us down and destroy as they believe only God can have the power to jump.”

A chill ran down her spine, Trisha Kat is stunned with how much detail about her life and her family that the Paladins are knowledgeable of. “What can I do to stop them from harming my family?” “Join forces with me and David, he’s another jumper who escaped the capture from the Paladins. And the both of us are recruiting as many jumpers as we can come across to combat the attacks from the Paladins.”
“Well, if this is the only choice I have to take to protect my family then I’m in.” Trisha Kat scrunched up the folder in her hands. “Great and speaking of the devil, here comes David.” Amid the whirlwind and the sand, a guy in his twenties appeared in front of Trisha Kat’s eyes. “David, come and meet Trisha Kat, she’s our latest addition in the alliance.” “It’s my pleasure to meet you Trisha and welcome to our join forces against the Paladins.” “Thank you David, nice to meet you too.”

“By the way, how’s that girlfriend of yours, David?” Griffin asked. “Millie is fine and she’s enjoying staying in Samoa.” “Ah, somewhere warm, that’s what she wanted, anything for the girlfriend, my dear friend, David.” David ignored the remark of Griffin and turned to Trisha Kat and asked her, “What about you, Trisha? Anyone special in your life at the moment?” “No, there’s no romance for me right now. My foremost priority right now is protecting the safety of my dear family.” Trisha Kat said calmly. “I totally understand how you feel Trisha. I almost lost Millie to the Paladins last time we ran into them. And Roland is the leader who’s our number one target.” David narrowing his eyes as if he could see Roland right here in the desert.

“Have you seen your mum again since last time you found her house? Has she tried to contact you?” Griffin asked. “No, I haven’t gone back to see my mum at her house cause I don’t want to rise any alarm as you know that she’s a Paladin herself…” “David’s mum, Mrs Rice is a Paladin and she left him and his father when David was five. She rescued David when he was locked up at the police station last time when he and Millie trespassed in the Coliseum. That’s when I first showed myself to David and the first time he encountered with the Paladins.” Griffin told Trisha Kat.

“I didn’t need her to look out for me. What gives her the right to leave me and my father when I was only five and then turn up again in my life as if nothing had happened? I can protect myself and I always have!” David said angrily.

“Anyway, let’s hope Mrs Rice will come to her senses and turn her back on the Paladins and join forces with us.” “Well Griffin, I wouldn’t count on that if I were you. She would’ve done it ages ago if she really cared.”

TrishaKat's BackGround

My name is Trisha Kat and I’m proud to be a jumper. Ten years ago I had thought I was abnormal with this unbelievable gift or curse that god had blessed me with. All those years I prayed and asked god to give me something incredible so I would at least fit in somewhere and it was only today I’ve realized that god has only been watching me over. However the more I ignored my power when I was ten, the more distant I was with the world, with people and most importantly my family. I was ashamed of this curse god had left me with. My childhood was a living hell for me. I tried so hard fitting in school but the more I tried the more I was embarrassed and when I discovered this power of mine the more I hid it the more I jumped.

I was ten and dancing was the only thing that made me happy. I was standing there in the gym before the three secondary judges, the music came on suddenly, and there I was dancing for the cheer leading try outs never been happier in my life. Next thing I knew I was in a New York’s dance school hall shocked and then again back at my schools gym.

I stood there confused and dizzy staring at the three girls. They stared at me bewildered and then quietly one of the girl says “Uumm u can leave now”. Since then I had not gone back to school for a month and demanded mother to change schools immediately.

I knew then I was alone. I lived my life as an insecure and scared girl. I was a freak, I had so many questions. Why me? Am I the only one? Are there others like me? Is this a curse or a gift? I didn’t know what to do with this power. What was the point of me having it? I have so many questions and no one to go to.

But then suddenly I met Griffin. I saw him in London jumping and accidentally jumped into his jump spot by following him. That was first time I met another jumper, he was a bit rude at the start but then later on he was a good help to all my questions. That’s when I knew that god had not cursed me but blessed me. And with this gift I want to help Griffin and other jumpers catch these paladins. We deserve to live our lives. If god should be the only one to be at all places at once then god should be deciding who lives or dies not PALADINS!

Roland's Life

Roland: BAWK BAWK! These were the few words that I had to yell to the people walking past Church’s Chicken. The only good thing about the job, was that I had to wear a large chicken suit and no one saw me, no matter who they were. I didn’t want to shame myself. I eventually got sick of the job because the manager was being unfair with my pay, so I quit. I was searching through the internet and found an advertisement wanting new Paladins. They had a description of what they wanted. I actually fitted in with they wanted, so I applied for the job and got it.

My name is Roland. I am a Paladin. Paladins destroy Jumpers. Jumpers are people who have the ability to appear from one place to another just by thinking about it. They existed from the medieval times. It is not that I am jealous, it is the fact that only God that should have the authority alone to appear in all places at one time. I destroy Jumpers by attaching them to a wall with wires that has at least 200 watts travelling through them. This will not allow them to jump anymore. I then murder them using the one and only weapon I carry with me, my handy and trusting – dagger, wrapped in a nylon like cloth to keep the dagger safe. I drive this dagger up their rib cage area.

The last time I met a Jumper was 5 years ago. David Rice was his name. He was the one who got me stuck here on the Grand Canyon and is still waiting on my fellow paladins to come and rescue me. I am proud to be a paladin because it is my passion. It is my life and I do it for the grace of God, but there is also a personal reason to why I want Jumpers dead. I have tracked and destroyed more Jumpers than any of my colleagues. I understand that one of my colleagues is the mother of David Rice and that she will not be able to destroy him herself if I set her to it. The love for her son is what is keeping him alive.

Rice has an Irish friend, Griffin. Griffin has been tracking down Paladins ever since he was old enough, to destroy them. He has been tracking me down for the past 10 years and has never caught me yet. Now that he knows that I am on the Grand Canyon with no gear whatsoever to destroy any paladins, I believe this is the way I will die. He has killed more than 20 of our paladins and are asking for more people to join.
